The Tawa Rotary monster book fair was held over two weekends 14/15 and 21/22 July. It was very successful and came very close to matching the record takings of last year. It is estimated that roughly 15,000 books were sold, and surprisingly still another 15,000 books remain - and that is after quite a cull before the pack-up. We also gave 50 boxes of books to the Carterton Rotary Book Fair. Many thanks to all those who helped make this Rotary fund raising project such a success. Many put in hours of sorting and taking loads to the recyclers, managing signage and marketing, handling the sales and provided catering, and packing up and helping with the trays from Plimmerton. A real team effort. The crowds kept coming over the four days. | The young ones enjoyed their books and Harold stickers | And then there was none | Culled books still to go to recycling | Some 600 boxes of books remain | Trays ready to return to Plimmerton |
