NEXT WEEKS SPEAKER

WATCH THIS SPACE.

Unfortunately the speaker that we have tentatively lined up for this time has had to postpone and the programme team are still seeking confirmation from a couple of other options.

The Plan-B option is that we will hear more about the workings of Rotary International with Ian Munro telling us about his insights from the Rotary Peace Conference he recently attended and Pat Waite telling us about his insights from the recent District Governor training conference.

We Will Remember

For our meeting on the 24th April (being the day before ANZAC Day) we initially assembled at The Memorial opposite the RSA.  Here we remembered the occasion with the laying of a wreath and the reciting of the Ode of Remembrance.

After dinner members Elizabeth Sutton and Phil Harland recounted their stories of war and their personal remembrance.

Unfortunately our proposed speaker, Sarah Davies, from the WW100 project, was not able to make due to a family issue and it is hoped she will be able to be rescheduled later in the year.
