Are you up to date on using CPR, particularly if you're first on the scene?

Tawa Rotary with assistance from Wellington Free Ambulance is running a Heartbeat Training session on Tuesday 27 February. You are invited to attend this free session.

A sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time. Every week, an average of four to five people suffer a cardiac arrest somewhere in Wellington and Wairarapa. Deciding to learn how to administer CPR could be one of the most important decisions you ever make.

Nick Swan is leading our training on behalf of Wellington Free Ambulance - he's our local Heartbeat trainer and Leader for Tawa Community Patrol.

The Heartbeat training session will run for 90 minutes from 7pm to 8.30pm. No cost to attend.

It's NOT a general first aid course. Nick will delve solely into CPR and AED defibrillator use, with time for discussion, questions, and hands-on experience.
