On Tuesday, October 30th, we had a fun get-together at North City Tenpin. Some bowling, and nibbles, and VR.
It's hard work wooing that ball into the pins.
And the Bowling Champions Top Ten from last week were:
1st | Don Rushworth | 144 |
2nd | John Melville | 139 |
3rd | Ken Woodgate | 129 |
4th | Malcolm Andrews | 119 |
5th equal | Michael Kelly / Alastair Hutchinson | 101 |
7th | Richard Hutchinson | 90 |
8th | Russel Smith | 89 |
9th | Laura Sommer | 88 |
10th equal | Chris Black / Lyn Calman | 86 |
North City Tenpin owner and no. 2 NZ ten-pin champion, Chris Haynes, also gave us a short talk about his business, a potted history on his involvement with the sport, and the evolution of tenpin in NZ, and some future development plans which include enhanced Virtual Reality Arcade booths on the 2nd floor.
Meanwhile Ian was fighting off the aliens in the Virtual Reality experience.
In response to a question Chris also explained what is happening to the North City Ten-Pin entrance off Kenepuru Drive which is also currently shared with the Transmission Gully construction site entrance off Kenepuru Drive.
