Rotary Events of the last weeks

 

A successful Youth Night was held at our last meeting. Over 30 guests joined our members for an evening celebrating Youth events. Highlights included a message from our last in-bound exchange student, Olivia Goodridge, presentations from youth that we have supported in recent years (RYLA, Cherrie Titheridge (2021) and Preston Lyons, exchange student, Jordan Mumby) and presentation of badges to the attending Interact members. A pleasing aspect was having 2 teachers from Tawa College supporting the Interact and Young Enterprise students who made the most of the opportunity to talk to Rotarians and learn of how we might support them. Feedback from the teachers and students was very positive - some of the Business students have since found mentors for their business ideas and Interact has registered their interest in participating in our Rotary fundraising events.
