Hope you’ve had a great ANZAC weekend and Easter break last week – for those in the workforce, 3 short weeks in a row has been nice – although why does there always seem to be a full week’s worth of work to be done in that short week?
We’ve had a couple of crazy weekends – not really getting anything done that we’d planned, but was great to have good weather for the activities we did have planned.
Joe and I attended the bi monthly network meeting on Thursday with AG Kath Beattie and the Presidents and Presidents Elect for the clubs in our area. Good to meet the incoming Presidents from Johnsonville and Plimmerton (Porirua is continuing with their 6 monthly swap between Angela and Paula).
Meetings
This week will be our last Zoom meeting – we don’t have a speaker scheduled, so have another quiz night planned – so will Martin be defending his title from last time, or will we have a new champion?.

We have a board meeting after the club meeting tomorrow night – so if anyone has anything they want brought up pls advise.
We’re hoping to be back to normal meetings at the Bowling club in 2 weeks, so will confirm details of that in upcoming bulletins – keep an eye out for the details.
Mary Potter Collection - Street Appeal to be held on Saturday 21 May 2022.
We’ve been asked if we can coordinate a collection point at Tawa New World. We’ve had no response to the earlier request, and need to confirm back to the organisers. If anyone is available to help, and ideally coordinate a response for us, please advise Karyn ASAP.

This week is World Immunization Week, and is an opportunity to raise awareness about the effectiveness of vaccines and mobilize people’s support for immunization.
Vaccination is one of the best tools we have to improve people’s health and well-being. Global vaccination programs for preventable diseases, such as polio, are critical to protecting vulnerable children and preventing outbreaks.
Rotary members use our decades of experience in fighting polio to provide communities with information and access to COVID-19 vaccines in order to stop the coronavirus from spreading and help end the pandemic.
You can support Rotary’s efforts by: - Downloading the World Immunization Week Toolkit for graphics and sample social media posts you can use to promote polio eradication and the importance of vaccines for all. Use hashtags #EndPolio and #VaccinesWork.
