NOTICES Meeting 10 August Network Meeting – RSVPs to Karyn ASAP as spaces limited Lighthouse Theatre Pauatatahanui, $30, 5.45 start The Rotary Club of Plimmerton will show The Big Screen Premier of the new Te Ara Piko Video will be hosted at Light House Cinema in Pauatahanui. In addition to watching the video, there will be a powerpoint presentation showing some of the history of the development of Te Ara Piko over the years. The evening will be Emceed by Bryan Waddle. It will be followed by the movie, 'The Man In The Hat'. Critics say that this is a Francophile fantasy that may be too twee for some, but the French tourist board will surely be satisfied. It sustains a whimsical tone beautifully throughout its brief running time. And following that there will be light refreshments provided. There will be a cash bar on your arrival and throughout the evening.  Charity Ball will be held at The Boat Shed on Taranaki Street Wharf in Wellington at 7.30 pm on Saturday 11 September. Tawa Rotary is running this fundraiser in aid of a Breast Milk Bank. Members can obtain tickets from Denise Garcia at $45 each or $450 for a table of 12. Mark this in your social calendar NOW !!! (please see or talk to Richard this week) This is a twice yearly Rotary event run in conjunction with Tawa InnerWheel who man the Tawa New World site, the Tawa Salvation Army food bank, and One Agency. Rail Safety Week awareness event. Call for volunteers to staff a roster at a couple Tawa rail crossing on Monday afternoon 9th August and Tuesday morning 10th August. This event is being run in conjunction with Tawa Community Patrol and Tawa Community Board members, and Tawa College Volunteer Army students, to help create safe behaviour awareness to pedestrian students and commuters as part of the national Rail Safety Week.
