President Joe - Update
Kia ora fellow Rotarians

What a great night we had last Tuesday at English Dhaba Indian Restaurant. With about 20 members and guests a fantastic evening of conversation and good food. In addition, a bit of an impromptu birthday celebration for Shona Heyward involving cake and an (appropriately) undisclosed number of candles – 21 I think!

The evening was co-ordinated and orchestrated by Elizabeth to whom goes many thanks, and to Martin Garcia for elaborating on the evening in support of Rotary’s continued effort for polio. Personally, I know it opened the eyes of the guests I brought to the amazing work of Rotary on a global scale.

On Tuesday evening we will be having a frolic into the inaugural Rotary Olympics evening. We have a variety of activities planned for those who may be up for a gold, silver or bronze medal and exorbitant prizes! There will be fish and chips that evening.

Also don’t forget about the SGM on 23 May!

Best wishes
Kia kaha
Joe

Action Plan

As People of Action, we understand that fulfilling that vision requires a plan.
More than a century ago, we pioneered a new model of service leadership grounded in person-to-person connections. Today, those connections are a network that spans the globe—bridging cultural, linguistic, generational, and geographic barriers—and shares the vision of a better world. As People of Action, we understand that fulfilling that vision requires a plan.
